What is the weather like?
Colorado truly has all four seasons and mountain weather can change suddenly, so please dress accordingly.
Spring: Snow is still flying and temperatures can dip into the teens and rise up to the 50s.
Summer: Cool nights and highs can sometimes reach into the low 90s. Thunderstorms come and go quickly and rarely last all day. Sunscreen is highly recommended.
Fall: Highs in the 50s are common and expect lows in the 30s. Snow is not uncommon leading up to winter. Perfect time to take a short drive and see the changing of the leaves in mid-September.
Winter: Snow usually comes beginning of November to the end of May. Lows can be single digits and highs in the 20s are the norm. Please keep updated on weather conditions and road conditions when traveling.
Travel: We request that all lodging and activity guests follow local, county, and state guidelines for safety and maintain social distancing standards while on property.
We are fully open year-round, however due to the unpredictable nature travel we highly encourage guests to obtain Travel Insurance from a trusted carrier for the beginning of your trip to your return for any unforeseen circumstances. If you have questions or would like more information you can reach out to us at 720-779-2595.
Is there dining at the park?
Our Adventure Basecamp Bar & Grille House is open seasonally. During the summer there is coffee & bar service, breakfast, lunch, and dinner available daily.
Can we use the fire pits?
This is dependent on the county and whether there is a fire ban in effect at the time of your booking. We do have a fire pit located near the yurts -front desk must be notified when a fire is started and all fires must be put out by 8pm.
Are there wild animals in the area?
Because we’re in the Rocky Mountains there are always some animals around -we occasionally see chipmunks and sometimes even spot Big Horned Sheep across the road on the mountain. Black bears can also be spotted near property and we encourage guests to leave their trash inside or in the dumpster and not to leave food out.
