No Colorado vacation is complete without whitewater rafting. And Clear Creek rafting is one of the most popular kinds of rafting in Colorado.

The Clear Creek rafting season usually only lasts a month or two so make sure not to miss out. Choose and you can choose between Beginner-Intermediate or Intermediate-Advanced rafting. 

Beginner rafting is great for groups who want to get their feet wet and experience rafting for the first time. There is a great balance between moments of paddling and action as well as scenic floats along the creek. 

You will also pass through the historic town of Idaho Springs and hear about the local history, including the fact that gold was first discovered there. 

This trip usually lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes and has a 12:30pm or 3:30pm start time. 

Minimum Age Requirement: 8 years old 

Put In: Chicago Creek, Take Out: Kermits 

Rapids Class I – III

For those more familiar with rafting who are looking for more of a thrill, we have Intermediate-Advanced rafting. 

You’ll start the journey on the Intermediate section -usually putting in right across the street from our park. Then you’ll move through the beginner section and then venture into the canyon which has Class IV and V rapids. It’s challenging and exhilarating. 

Trips usually last about 2 hours and 30 minutes with a 12:30pm or 3:30pm start time.

Minimum Age Requirement: 14 years old

Put In: Dumont, Take Out: Town Park

Experience a beautiful, leisurely trip down the Upper Colorado River taking in the surrounding wilderness. It’s a slower pace and more of a leisurely float, so being along your camera for some amazing shots as you wind your way through a canyon and see the surrounding wildlife. If you’re lucky you might just catch a shot of a bald eagle or a deer! 

Lunch/Drinks are included with the trip and it usually lasts from 9am start time to 5pm return time. 

Guests are shuttled to the put-in at the Pumphouse Campgrounds. We are also able to meet at the Upper Colorado River: Co Hwy 106, Kremmling, CO 80459. 

Minimum age requirement: 5 years old 

Rapids: Class I and II
